Green Tools Tech is a European based startup run by Bruno Motik, permaculture designer and a maker on a mission to develop technology that supports regenerative farmers, organic growers, gardeners, permaculturists and other people who devoted their life to sustainable land practices. We believe that regenerative agriculture is the most viable solution to climate change as well as a whole array of problems created in modern society, from climate change, to human health crisis. We need to transform our agricultural system and we need to do it fast! We need more small farms doing the right kind of agriculture and more people involved in the process.

In the last century agriculture has greatly become entangled with the technology that allowed it to increase yields greatly, but unfortunately the promised revolution came with a cost of resource depletion, ecosystem destruction and a great increase in greenhouse gases as well as production of poor quality food that no longer supports our health. In order to change our farming, the technology used in the process also needs to change from weapons of mass destruction to weapons of mass regeneration. Human scale farming needs human scale tools that are not designed to destroy and turn the soil, but encourage microbial growth and carbon sequestration to produce the food that can truly be our medicine.

The goal of GTT is to encourage technological sovereignty in the regenerative movement. Through an open source model of research and development, we are hoping to bring this planet a step closer to regenerating ecosystems and restoring the livelihoods of the ones who feed us – the farmers.
